The Fountains mingle with the Rivers

瀟入川兮，其暢融融。

And the Rivers with the Oceans,

  川入海兮，其欲瀧瀧。

The winds of Heaven mix foreverWith a sweet emotion;

天降祺瑞，恭心意暖；

Nothing in the world is single;

佳事成雙，何以獨香。

All things by a law divineIn one spirit meet and mingle.Why not I with thine?

斯天斯地，相行頤彰，

鴛鴦戲水，同伴久長。

窈窕佳人，奈何我顧？

See the mountains kiss high Heaven

有山高兮，啟吻天堂；

And the waves clasp one another;

有浪急兮，洶湧疊蕩。

No sister-flower would be forgivenIf it disdained its brother,

至愛無隙，羨慕無妒，

兩情相悅，唯信有長。

And the sunlight clasps the earth

日照大地，撫擁萬物，

And the moonbeams kiss the sea:

月曝江海，粼粼生輝。

What is all this sweet work worthIf thou kiss not me?

斯情斯景，可賜一吻？
