     達賴喇嘛駐台代表才嘉3月17日表示，北京當局對於西藏地區的鎮壓，目前仍在持續擴大當中，現在已經從拉薩擴散到四川的阿壩縣、青海、甘肅等地區。單單16日一天，阿壩的武力鎮壓就已經造成至少十三人以上的死亡，他強烈譴責北京當局以武力血腥鎮壓西藏人民和平抗議的行徑。 (博訊 boxun.com)
   
    才嘉17日下午舉行記者會，一開始就先為近日來在西藏發生的流血衝突中死亡的民眾默哀一分鍾。默哀後，才嘉表示，三月十日是每年達賴喇嘛針對西藏問題表達意見的日子，當天不過是十一位信眾上街遊行，為了爭取宗教自由，並希望能夠讓達賴喇嘛回國，就遭到慘無人道的對待。
   
    在之後的十二、十三日，都不斷有抗議靜坐活動，十四日起，官方就以機關槍掃射遊行靜坐的群眾，造成許多藏人的傷亡。根據才嘉指出，目前中共官方已經調動成都軍區的兵力進入拉薩，蘭州軍區則針對四川與甘肅地區就近嚴加看管。雖然官方表示今天是最後通牒的期限，但是據他們了解，解放軍與武警在17日淩晨就已經開始大規模的掃蕩。
   
    才嘉表示，數年前中共官方要求不得懸掛達賴喇嘛的照片，被查到的公職人員一律遭到撤職，去年甚至要求藏人家中不可以有佛堂，遭到查獲也將被撤職，讓他們忍無可忍。才嘉說，藏人認為即使生命受到威脅，但是絕對不可以破戒，因此才會引發一連串的抗議事件。
   
    台灣西藏交流基金會副秘書長翁仕傑表示，藏人隻是希望能夠過藏人自己的生活而已，可是中國政府卻用坦克、機關槍對準自己人，謀害自己的國民，「天底下哪有這種國家？」翁仕傑說，大家應該看清楚中國是什麽本質的國家，並仔細思考台灣會不會是下一個西藏。
   
    達賴喇嘛西藏宗教基金會、台灣西藏交流基金會等單位，也將於今天晚間六點，在台灣民主紀念館的自由廣場門牌下，舉辦「向西藏人民致敬祈福會」。翁仕傑表示，他們希望藉此安撫亡靈，讓他們的犧牲有意義，並且為幸存者祈福。 _(網文轉載) (博訊 boxun.com)
