Feels like talking politics today?

這幾天國會辯論激烈，占多數的民主黨經濟刺激計劃出籠，招到共和黨的抨擊。作為一名納稅人、選民，俺從自己的個人利益出發，看看民、共兩黨的立場，打好自己的小算盤，為咱那一票負責。

提案是由當權派民主黨提出：
Much of the spending, be it for a "smart" electric grid, computerized health records or aid to students, is intended to nudge the economy toward alternative energy, a better-educated workforce and wider access to health care.

共和黨補充提案的主要部分（已被民主黨接受）：
Several big Republican amendments have been accepted, including a $70 billion temporary fix of the alternative minimum tax that economists contend has almost no stimulative effect and a nearly $20 billion tax credit for home buyers that Democrats say is poorly targeted.

其中共和黨的提案：
AMT修正，和給新房主15000 Tax credit直接影響到俺的錢包，對俺很有吸引力。

民主黨的提案：
電動車、計算機健康記錄、老兵補助、學生助學金等對將來環境、對老兵、學生有幫助。

俺的理解是：共和黨為短視者謀利益，民主黨為理想者謀利益。在這經濟危機的黑夜裏，希望兩黨能共同努力，共度難關。
