請原諒俺小心眼兒，舍不得把故事貼全，俺開始著手在北美和中國尋找出版機會。俺覺得俺的故事有趣，對孩子學習英語有幫助。中國小孩學英語最大的問題是不愛讀出來，有個朗朗上口的有趣故事，孩子會愛讀些。

I Love My Little Cat!（我愛我的小貓！）共5章，97個rhyming verses段，每個verse段的第二、四行完全壓韻。下麵是第五章。

 

I Love My Little Cat! (chapter 5)

5What A Wonderful World!

Such an adorable cat,

I was very thankful for.

Mimi slept with me each night.

I could hear her gently snore.

 

Very early this morning,

I woke and opened my eyes.

Where was my cute little cat?

Mimi gave me a surprise.

 

Among my stuffed animal friends,

Dog, cat and my beloved panda bear,

She pretended she was a toy

And didn’t move a single hair.

 

Like beautiful round marbles,

Mimi’s two eyes always shine.

They are golden yellow but

The pupils are black like mine.

 

When she was pondering,

She didn’t blink and didn’t meow.

She could stare very long.

That really surprised me, wow!

 

Every time when Mimi and I

Had a staring contest for fun,

I opened my eyes hard and wide,

But my cat, Mimi, always won.

 

I am proud to saythat Mimi is

The smartest cat in my neighbourhood.

When I gave her a command,

She responded as fastas she could.

 

I knows Mimi very well.

She know me very well too.

How do we know each other?

It’s a bit hard to tellyou.

 

We children and our pets

Just know each other,

Like how all people know

Their sister and brother.

 

Children and pets are siblings.

Who is old? Who is small?

We children and our pets

Never ever care at all.

 

I’m a curious young girl.

I like to look around.

What a wonderfulworld!

New things, I often found!

 

Mom, Dad and I were havingtea.

My cat, Mimi, slept atmy side.

I told my newdiscovery

To my parents withpride.

  

“Chinese and Canadian people

Look different, you all know.”

I sipped a bit of green tea,

“Their cats look the same, though.”

 

“They all speak the same language;

Meow, meow, meow,”Dad smiled.

“So they don’t need ESL like me,”

Mom said this like a shy child.

 

My dad and I both laughed.

Mimi woke up beside me.

She curiously looked around.

MeiLing, what’s so funny?

 

Mimi stretched her body long.

Then she jumped up on my thigh.

“Are you my best friend, Mimi?”

She licked my palm as a reply.

 

I don’t often miss China

And cry like I did before.

I have a good friend, Mimi.

I don’t feel lonely anymore.

 

I began to like Canada.

I still like China very much too.

I have two homes, one in China,

One in Canada, it’s true!

 

At this very moment,

Mimi woke up from a nap.

I was writing this story,

With Mimi on my lap.

5 世界真奇妙！

我感謝生活給了我

一隻多麽可愛的小貓。

每晚咪咪和我一床睡覺。

她打呼嚕但不吵。

 

今天的一大早，

我醒來睜開眼睛一瞧，

我可愛的小貓在哪呢？

一個驚喜，她給我送到。

 

她在一堆毛絨玩具，

狗，貓和我心愛的熊貓之中。

她假裝也是一個玩具，

一絲毫毛都不動。

 

她漂亮的眼睛象圓圓的彈子球，

總是閃爍著光芒。

她的眼睛是金黃色的，

但眼珠是黑的，和我的一樣。

 

當她思考問題，

她不叫也不眨眼。

她能長時間盯看一個地方，

讓我刮目相看！

 

每次我和咪咪進行不眨眼比賽，

為好玩兒、為熱鬧，

我的眼睛睜得又圓又大，

可咪咪每次都贏，我好不懊惱！

 

在我們小區的所有貓裏,

咪咪最為聰明。

每當我給她發布命令，

她總是立即反應。

 

我的小貓咪咪懂我。

她的心事，我也知道。

你若問我們是怎樣知道的？

我也說不大好。

 

我們小孩和寵物之間，

當然相知相曉。

就象人們了解他們的

兄弟姐妹那樣的好。

 

我們小孩從不把寵物

簡單地看成小狗小貓。

我們是兄弟姐妹，

彼此之間不分誰大誰小。

 

我是好奇的小孩。

我最愛東看看西瞧瞧。

我有很多新發現！

這個世界真奇妙！

 

爸爸、媽媽和我正在喝茶。

咪咪躺在我的身邊睡覺。

我告訴父母我的新發現，

我有幾分自豪。

 

“中國人和加拿大人

長的不同，你們都知道。”

我喝了口綠茶。

“但是我們的貓長的一個相貌。”

 

爸爸笑著說，

“他們都說同樣的語言，喵喵喵。”

“他們不象我要學ESL課程，”

媽媽象個害羞的孩子似地說道。

 

爸爸和我一起哈哈大笑。

吵醒了咪咪的小覺。

她好奇地四處看看，

美靈，什麽事這麽好笑？

 

咪咪伸了個長長的懶腰。 

她跳上我的腿讓我抱。

“你是我最好的朋友嗎，咪咪？”

她在我的手心裏一舔。她答的妙。

 

我不再象從前那樣，

老想念中國把眼淚掉。

我有一個好朋友，咪咪。

我不再孤獨煩惱。

 

我仍然非常喜歡中國。

我開始喜歡上加拿大。

我的家在中國也在加拿大，

真的，我有兩個家！

 

此刻，咪咪在我腿上，

剛剛睡醒了她的午覺。

我在寫這個故事

《我愛我的小貓！》。

 

我最親愛的朋友，
