Max有一個活頁夾叫作《My Book of Poems and Songs》,裏麵放的是老師教唱的歌和詩歌。他的老師每周教們一兩首歌或詩歌,要求他們會唱會背。這些歌和詩歌都很可愛,讀起來壓韻上口,Max十分喜愛,我也喜愛。
下麵是他們最近學的三首秋天的詩歌。
There goes summer, here comes fall.
Scattered leaves,see them all!
Yellow, green,red and brown,
Gently floating softly down.
Goodbye summer,autumn is here.
The cold snowy winter is coming near.
Whistling wind,feel the breeze,
See the empty branches on the tree.
October’s the month
When the smallest breeze
Give us a shower
Of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves sailing down-
October is red
And golden and brown.
October leaves are lovely
They rustle when I run
Sometimes I make a heap
And jump in them for fun.
Autumn leaves float quietly down
And form a carpet on the ground.
But when those leaves are stepped down,
Listen for the cracking sound.
I love Fall! Fall is exciting.
It’s apples and cider.
It’s an airborne spider.
It’s pumpkins in bins.
It’s burrs on dog’s chins.
It’s wind blowing leaves.
It’s chilly red knees.
It’s nuts on the ground.
It’s a crisp dry sound.
It’s green leaves turning
And the smell of them burning.
It’s clounds in the sky.
It’s fall. That’s why…
I love fall.
