Love That Cat(我愛我的小貓)

親愛的同博們，我最近一直在忙於修改故事，連上網的時間都很沒有。Love That Cat這個故事，已經基本定稿了，我將其翻譯成中文，英中對照，我想先在中國出版。國慶節過後，我將開始聯係中國的出版社，我希望它能做配上有中國特色的中國水墨畫的插圖，做成一本漂亮的Picture Book。

Love That Cat

我愛我的小貓

Myname is Mei Ling. I came

ToCanada with Mom and Dad.

Imiss China very much.

Sometimes,I feel kind of sad.

我的名字是美靈，

和爸爸媽媽一起來到加拿大。

我非常想念中國。

有時，我的情緒不佳。

Oneday, after dinner,

Mom,dad and I had a chat.

Mom told me her former friend

Would give me a little cat.

一天，晚飯後，

爸爸媽媽和我閑聊。

媽媽說她從前的朋友

要送我一隻小貓。

Areal cat, a cute cat,

That could eat, meow and purr.

Wecould play together.

I could hold and pet her.

真的小貓，可愛的小貓，

會吃飯，會呼嚕，會喵喵。

我們能一起玩，

我能抱她、撫弄她的毛毛。

I was so excited

That I jumped up with joy.

A lovely cat would be 

Better than any toy.

我激動地

一蹦跳得高。

Finally,she arrived,

Acat of white and black.

In the pet carrier,

She shyly shrank back.

終於她來了，

I gently, gently said.

In her round shiny eyes,

I saw a lot of dread.

“嗨，可愛的小貓，”

我溫柔地說道。

膽怯和害怕，

I looked at the new cat,

While lying on the floor.

She looked like the old cat

My grandma had before.

我趴在地板上，

That was beautiful, smart

And a little bit fat.

I missed her everyday.

In Canada, hooray!

We would happily spend.

Looked so funny to me.

Her nose was black and white.

She was a clown,wasn’t she?

這隻加拿大小貓，

Dad made a joke to her.

Mimi is a delight.

她的一條腿全黑，

And said, “Mimi, please come out.”

Moving her body a bit,

She seemed to be in doubt.

“請出來吧，咪咪，”

我打開提籃的門插銷。

咪咪有些猶豫，

身子輕輕搖搖。

Sticking her small head out,

She looked from left to right.

She carefully walked out

And then ran out of sight.

探出她的腦袋，

咪咪左右瞧了瞧。

小心地走出提籃，

然後她一下兒不見了。

Where was the adorable cat?

I searched for her everywhere.

Mimi was good at hide-and-seek.

I couldn’t find her anywhere.

可愛的咪咪藏哪了？

我四處尋找都沒有找到。

咪咪的捉迷藏，

玩得真是好。

During the very first day,

I didn’t see my new cat.

Was she hungry or thirsty?

I was worried about that.

第一天，咪咪在哪，

She didn’t eat a bit

But she drank a whole lot.

She cautiously came out.

She ate some cat food and

Quietly walked about.

第三天夜幕降臨，

她小心翼翼地出來了。

She began to explore.

I gladly followed her,

Opening each room’s door.

第四天一大早，

Even each drawer for her.

Mimi sniffed everywhere.

Then,she let me stroke her fur.

My family ate dinner.

We were all in a good mood.

Mimi jumped up on my lap.

A smart teacher of my cat.

I said and held her paw,

Mystudent, Mimi learned with awe.

And cry like I did before.

I have a good friend, Mimi.

I don’t feel lonely anymore.

Mimi woke up from a nap.

I was writing this story,

With Mimi on my lap.
