A Recommendation Letter

最近幾周來，我又對我的故事I am Mei Ling進行了修改，過幾天再更新，將修改心得貼上來，下麵是我女兒從前的老師Miss Schudel給I am Mei Ling寫的Recommendation letter。

To whom it may concern:

 I have had the pleasure of reading the series of rhyming stories, I am Mei Ling, several times. Each time I've been touched by the lives of Mei Ling and her family, and their experience as a newly-arrived immigrant family to Canada from China. Their experiences and the style of writing make the book a wonderful read.  

As a public school teacher who is specialized in Reading, I am familiar with many books, with several different genres, topics, and themes. I am unaware of any books in our school or public library that deal with the lives of new Chinese immigrants to Canada. I believe that this is an important topic, considering the large amount of Chinese immigrants in our school, and in our school board as a whole. Many students would be able to identify with the main character, Mei Ling, and all others would recognize her experiences as those of friends in their class.

 I think that I am Mei Ling is an interesting, informative, and touching story that would be valuable reading material for all children, both immigrant and North American-born.
