My younger son was writing the list of friend names for his 8 year-old birthday party:
Matthew
David
Rohit
Kevin
…….
My husband side-glanced the list.
“ no girls?”
“ I don’t like girls.”
“ why not?”
“ girls too noisy. They cried no reason.”
“ you need to learn to make friends with girls. You will date a girl when you grow up.”
“ I do not date a girl, I date a woman.”
The whole family laughed aloud.
“ what is wrong?” my younger son asked confusedly.
“ nothing is wrong” tried to hold his laugh.
