KIDs EDUCATION

It is very funny to realize that N.A school system is some how similar but worse than our old/new Chinese school system. 

You think -- you do not have to do work with your kids -- Guess again-- wrong!!!
My son is 6 years of age.  He went to a French Immersion school.  Which means he has to learn French to study everything. 
Guess what -- he comes home with tons of work to do every day.  You ask him do you know how to do it.... the answer is always --- NO, NO, NO.
 Every day, the teacher will send note to remind us parents that we got to work with our kids!!!
Hey, what did you do, teacher? 

He is only in Grade 1.

Another thing:  this school is top one in our city.  And it got 80% of Chinese population.   Most of these parents cannot even speak English very well.   It amases me... how they handle their kids.  Obviously, their kids are geneous.

My husband always said, lets take him out of this school, and put him in a regular English school.  I do not care about French, I would rather him learn Chinese.  (note, my husband is a Canadian).  I argued, all these Chinese can do it, why cannot I????
