Telling the truth or lying

It is a great to be honest in America. To certain degree, in America, it is not only a legal obligation but also the great culture and habits to tell the truth, nothing but the truth. You will be in great trouble if you intentionally do not tell the truth, especial under the oath in the court.
That’s why Americans don’t call others liars lightly. To call some one a liar is a great insult to that person unless you are very sure about s/he is a liar.
It seems that so many people, especially those newly from Mainland China are confused with the difference between telling the truth and telling a lie.
Not telling the truth does not necessarily lying, let alone cheating though lying is absolutely not telling the truth.
Some of us are used easily to be mad whenever people are telling you what you are saying is not true, or that you are not telling the truth. You don’t’ have to. When people say what you are saying is not true or that you are not telling the truth, it does not necessarily mean that you are lying or you cheating.
Whenever people tell you what you are saying is not true or that you are not telling the truth, most of times, most people believe that you don’t know the true story, or your judgment or statement is not accurate. Very few people might believe that you are intentionally not to tell the true.
People are also easily confused with telling the truth, or honesty or integrity and legal professionals protecting their clients. As a lawyer, s/he has absolute right and obligation to protect her/ his client interests not by lying or make stories but by persuading the jury and the judge why his clients are innocent or deserve less punishment. It is has nothing to do with not telling the truth, let alone lying. Lying under oath in court is punishable, which every American and each American knows about it, let alone a professional lawyer, who is absolutely smart enough in America .
Another wrong impression is that American politicians are not telling the truth but lying. Again some of us are not used to American cultures. One of these cultures in America is “politically correct”. “Politically correct “reminds you, especially politicians of not saying something wrong, or doing something wrong, which No Worry believes is very good. America is melting pot with so many different nationalities, “politically correct” is not an example of lying, it is a sample consideration of the diferent feelings of every and each nationalities and interest groups. I am sorry, Senator, Mr. John Kerry. Your recent comments are wrong because you are not “politically correct”.
