Anything is ok to me as long as it is not expensive

This morning, I asked my two sweeties to write down what they like for the Christmas presents and write down as many as they can think of while we are getting ready to go to school and to work. And my little lovely MengMeng of 6 years old said,” anything is ok to me as long as it is not expensive.” I was so touched and was very proud of them.
We seldom refuse their requests, and almost buy anything that they want. But we try to explain to them again, and again, and over again that it is very hard for daddy and mommy to make money. We’ve got to save money for other important things and for the future needs. There are many kids in the world who do have even enough food and clothes just like daddy when daddy was a little child. And as a child, daddy never got a gift from no one because daddy was very poor. You two are so lucky.
So my two cuties will stop asking if I or my wife says it is too expensive.
