Recently I just watched an old movie, Serpico by Al Pacino. 
It's about a conscientious cop who didn't want to be a corrupted cop and reported the secret to the outside world. In the end he was set up by his peer cops and shot by a drug dealer. Some said that it's the best movie by Al Pacino.
Tthere is a scene I like very much. It's on a morning.  Serpico turned on his music ( a piece of Opera) and sat in his little garden to enjoy his breakfast. Actually most of those Gang movies have very beautiful music.
When life is so intense and dangerous,  those beautiful things become more cherishable.
