When I am dead ,my dearest 當我死去時,我最親愛的
Sing no sad songs for me 別為我哀歌悲切
Plant thou no roses at my head 我的墓前不要栽玫瑰
Nor shady cypress tree 也不要柏樹茂密
Be the green grass above me 願綠茵覆蓋我的身軀
With showers and dewdrops wet 沾著濕潤的靈珠雨水
And if thou wilt ,remember 假如你願意,就把我懷念

I shall not see the shadows 我不會重見那蔭影
