12 Birthright

1. What a drama! I think in the entire book of Genesis, this episode is the most dramatic, very much like Shakespear! Birthright, blessing, were things to fight for, and Jacob, the younger brother good at grabbing things was the winner. Eager to know what happened after Isaac died.

2. I love it when Jesus said the healthy doesn't need doctor but the sick does, and he came not for the righteous, but the sinners. 

3. And the oppressions shall cease...

4. Today's proverb reminds me the offering of Abel.

創世記 26:17-27:46
以掃去外邦女子為妻，違背神的心意，也使父母愁煩。
利百加幫助小兒子雅各騙取了以撒的祝福。 利百加和雅各將來必定為此付出代價。


馬太福音 9:1-9:17
1）“康健的人用不著醫生，有病的人才用得著。。。我來，本不是召義人，乃是召罪人。 -耶穌赦免人的罪孽，醫治人的疾病。


2）“但日子將到，新郎要離開他們，那時候他們就要禁食。”- 耶穌對禁食的教導，新郎指耶穌。
（有點疑惑：是否指耶穌離開世界到第二次再來，我們都當禁食？）

3）“新酒裝在新皮袋裏”---這是非常重要的教導， 新酒指的是聖靈，我們心就是那盛酒的皮袋，聖靈住在我們的心裏，我們的心就當是被聖靈更新潔淨的新皮袋，而要去除老的舊皮袋。

耶和華側耳聽謙卑人的祈求。

箴言 3:9-3:10
當將自己最好的，優先獻給神！
“因我們的才智金錢皆屬於他，我們隻是他所賜資源的管家。將最好的優先獻給神，能幫助我們勝過貪心，使我們善用他所賜的資源，並能領受他特別的恩福。”（靈修版摘錄）

~蓑笠翁 : 昨天沒讀那個BLOG。 我也不能苟同BOB的說法：“In fact, their sins were employed by God in such a way as to achieve the will of God. God’s sovereignty is never thwarted by man’s sin. To the contrary, God is able to achieve His purposes by employing man’s sinful acts to further His plans.”雅各和利百加巧取祝福一事非常有戲劇性，值得討論。我認為雅各在明天的章節裏為此付出了代價，而且縱觀雅各的一生，他“又短又苦”(雅各語)的自我總結為我們勾勒出一個鑽營者內心的艱辛。不過從另一個角度來看，我覺得雅各和以掃非常象亞伯和該隱。以掃沒有馬上動手，否則雅各肯定不是他的對手。神是看內心的，我相信他不會看錯。

估計你對我的回答不滿意。我建議當我們讀完舊約曆史書以後回來再看看這個問題。也許我們可以從雅各的後代以色列人和以掃的後代以東人身上看到當初這兩個兄弟對神的態度。

今天bible site down了。不知道確切要學習的章節。就根據平常的進度讀了中文的聖經。內容應該是一樣的。

創世紀26：17-28:28
26:34以掃四十歲的時候娶了赫人比利的女兒猶滴，與赫人以倫的女兒巴實抹為妻。
26:35她們常使以撒和利百加心裏愁煩。
Q：為什麽會增加愁煩？因為不同的信仰？

27章
Q：通篇在講利百加和她兒子雅各怎樣施展伎倆騙取以撒的信任和祝福，從而剝奪親兄弟以掃的權利和財富。這種見利忘義，六親不認，自私自利的惡劣行徑在後來的日子裏肯定應該受到懲罰，是嗎？
Q：利百加作為母親教唆兒子雅各欺騙自己的父親去剝奪另一個親生兒子的一切，難道就不受任何懲罰嗎？

28章：
Q：雅各以欺騙的手法騙取的地位財富似乎是得到了確認，這不公平呀？！

馬太福音第九章：
耶穌的神跡。強調了信心的作用。"康健的人用不著醫生，有病的人才用得著"

Genesis: Although Jacob valued God's blessing, I despise his deceits. I don't understand why he DID get the real blessing by deceits... Don't quite agree with Bob's analysis, even Abraham was not perfect, so was Esau...... Maybe I am too stubborn, I can never pursuade myself.....Anyway, amazed by Isaac's patience to dig the wells and his patience was from the faith to God.

Matthew: It is so encouraging that Jesus healed people but also forgives sins.
Like this statement: "I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners".

Appreciated that Lord never despises sinners, like you and me.....


Psalm: God take care of you and me when we are helpless......

Proverbs: Don't treasure our own wealth, God will provide us when we follow his words and walk in his wills......
