移民局 Online Status 釋義

當移民局收到你的申請之後，會寄給你一張的收據 (I-797C). 在收據的左上角有收據號碼 (RECEIPT NUMBER)，是 3 個字母和 10 個數字的組合，分為 4 組，如：LIN-07-256-50001.
LIN 指明移民局服務中心
07 - Fiscal year (it's 08 beginning at 10/1/07)
256 - number of business days in the fiscal year
50001 - sequent number of the receipt
其它的移民局服務中心有：
EAC - Vermont Service Center
LIN - Nebraska Service Center
MSC - Missouri Service Center
NBC - National Benefits Center (eg MSC)
SRC - Texas Service Center
WAC - California Service Center
如果還沒有收到收據，但申請費被取走了，也可以從支票的背麵獲知 Receipt#.
先去銀行下載 canceled check 的 image，存到自己的計算機裏。然後仔細辨認支票背麵的東東。你應該看到類似於下麵的 5 行，排列得非常整齊：
如上：收據日期是 9/22/2006，收據號碼是 LIN0627052000.
我的申請已經交了Ｘ天／周／月了，沒有任何收據，支票也沒有清掉，怎麽查詢？
－－這是最無助的階段，沒有任何辦法。你既無法查詢，也不能取消申請。
取消支票不是取消申請之途（詳）。
我可以再交一份申請嗎？
－－當然，either paper filing or e-filing.
重交一份申請也不意味著取消前麵的申請，除了再交一份申請費（除非是免費的）之外，其處理也不會比上一份申請要快，－ FIFO.
撤消一份申請，能夠要求退費嗎？
－－Mission impossible.
如果信差顯示申請已寄達移民局，大可高枕了。移民局的處理有時候是極慢，但丟申請的情況倒是少有。
有了收據號碼，你就可以在移民局網站查其狀態。
這個狀態是指該申請的當前狀態，顯示處理過程中的不同階段。在狀態更新之後，以前的狀態就消失無蹤了。
在注冊之後，你還可以進入帳戶查看 LUD (Last Update Date). LUD 隻是提供一個可能更新一點的日期，而申請狀態是不變的。故有人稱之為 Soft Update.
我的 LUD 更新了日期，有什麽含義？
除了網上查，你還可以通過 (800) 375-5283 電話。
收據號中的 LIN 就是直接按 5-4-6，因為 "L" 在話機鍵上對應 "5" 鍵，"I" 是 "4"，"N" 是 "6".
如果你的支票是交的 I-140 的費，而背麵的收據號查出來的卻是 EAD 的狀態，那麽你可能是辨認號碼有誤，或是移民局蓋錯了章。隻好等正式的收據了，來解開這個迷。
有的時候，你都收到了移民局郵寄的書麵通知，而在線狀態還沒有更新或有誤。這並不影響你手中的 USCIS 文件的法律效果。請清楚，在線狀態（及你收到的 email）是供做參考用的，沒有法律效應，會可能有失誤發生；你收到的 paper 通知才算數。
就象簽署的文書中，手寫的部分比打印部分級別高一樣，你應該更信賴收到的移民局的通知書，而不僅僅隻是 online status, email or SMS etc.
另外，MSC 開頭的申請，有不是沒有上網，就是經常不及時更新的問題。你會收到這樣的信息。

Validation Error(s)

與 case status 相關的還有一個 Processing Date. 即一份交到移民局的申請，所需要的處理時間。
每隔一段時間，USCIS 就會在網站公布其信息。如下，出自 3/15/08 NSC 的。
這個 Processing Date 的意思是說，在 3/15/08 時，NSC 已經處理完了 June 08, 2007 收到的 EB 的 I-485.
有的申請的 Processing Timeframe 不象上麵一樣列的是日期，而是期間，如 2 Weeks、3 Months，你肯定明白這是什麽意思。
日期是指 Notice Date 為 6/8/07, 準確地說是 Receipt Date.
移民局的信上怎麽找不到這個 Receipt Date?
Receipt Date 在 Receipt Notice 上是 Notice Date, 爾後的文件上是指 Received Date.
對於一份提交到移民局的申請，牽扯有不同的日期，主要的有 Received Date, Notice Date, Approval Date. 詳見關於＂日期＂的討論。
移民局雖然是在 Received Date 接到了你的申請，但沒有進入係統，是一無用處的。當你的申請於 Notice Date 進入係統，就正式進入了排隊的 queue.
有的同學的申請在中心之間轉來轉去，那麽在新的中心的排隊，是 Transfer Date 還是 Received Date 算數？應該是原來的 RD 才公平合理。
但是，有同學在上述情況下聯係移民局，卻被告知要按新中心收到的日期重新排。不知是接線員的誤識，還是移民局的操作 practice.
在 6/15/08 的 NSC 的處理日期公布中，有如下陳述 "The processing times shown below are for applications that have just been completed"。這樣，應該是處理日期之前的申請都已經處理完畢。所有在處理日期之前提交的申請，都應該能夠在 online status 中查到申請結果。
在以前的處理日期公布中，沒有留意到移民局對處理日期有上述清楚的解釋。
根據以往的經驗，處理日期是估計的，並不意味著處理日期之前的申請都已經處理完畢，也不意味著之後的申請就一定不會處理。隻起個大概齊兒的參考作用，沒有任何的法律意義，也不做任何的保證。
正是因此，同學們過去也看到過處理日期的 retrogression. 那是因為 USCIS 希望處理完公布的處理日期之前的申請的願望，沒有達標。
過去同學們在自己的申請日期過了公布的處理日期之後，去聯絡移民局，得到的答案大都是：等到過了處理日期一個月之後，再聯絡移民局要求 service request.
過一個月，說的是原公布日期發布一個月之後，還是說等到新的公布日期是自己申請日期之後一個月，理解各異。
那時候移民局對處理日期沒有清晰的定義。現在應該沒有了歧義，隻要申請日期過了公布的處理日期，就可以要求處理。
雖然申請人可以聯係移民局請求處理 pending 的申請，移民局是否會聞風而動那卻是另外的故事。有同學擔心，移民局會不會因此在我的申請上做手腳。多慮了。
如果我們以後看不到處理日期的倒退，那麽處理日期的公布就有更大的可靠性，及參考性。

當移民局收到你的申請之後，會寄給你一張的收據 (I-797C). 在收據的左上角有收據號碼 (RECEIPT NUMBER)，是 3 個字母和 10 個數字的組合，分為 4 組，如：LIN-07-256-50001.
LIN 指明移民局服務中心
07 - Fiscal year (it's 08 beginning at 10/1/07)
256 - number of business days in the fiscal year
50001 - sequent number of the receipt
其它的移民局服務中心有：

如果還沒有收到收據，但申請費被取走了，也可以從支票的背麵獲知 Receipt#.
先去銀行下載 canceled check 的 image，存到自己的計算機裏。然後仔細辨認支票背麵的東東。你應該看到類似於下麵的 5 行，排列得非常整齊：
For Credit to U.S. Treasury DOJ/USCIS X9 152303711393 092206 LINHMV01 70-01-0103 ---------------------------- LIN0627052000最後一行紅顏色的就是 Receipt Number, 其上的黑體為 Notice Date.
如上：收據日期是 9/22/2006，收據號碼是 LIN0627052000.
我的申請已經交了Ｘ天／周／月了，沒有任何收據，支票也沒有清掉，怎麽查詢？
－－這是最無助的階段，沒有任何辦法。你既無法查詢，也不能取消申請。
取消支票不是取消申請之途（詳）。
我可以再交一份申請嗎？
－－當然，either paper filing or e-filing.
重交一份申請也不意味著取消前麵的申請，除了再交一份申請費（除非是免費的）之外，其處理也不會比上一份申請要快，－ FIFO.
撤消一份申請，能夠要求退費嗎？
－－Mission impossible.
如果信差顯示申請已寄達移民局，大可高枕了。移民局的處理有時候是極慢，但丟申請的情況倒是少有。
有了收據號碼，你就可以在移民局網站查其狀態。
這個狀態是指該申請的當前狀態，顯示處理過程中的不同階段。在狀態更新之後，以前的狀態就消失無蹤了。
在注冊之後，你還可以進入帳戶查看 LUD (Last Update Date). LUD 隻是提供一個可能更新一點的日期，而申請狀態是不變的。故有人稱之為 Soft Update.
我的 LUD 更新了日期，有什麽含義？
除了網上查，你還可以通過 (800) 375-5283 電話。
收據號中的 LIN 就是直接按 5-4-6，因為 "L" 在話機鍵上對應 "5" 鍵，"I" 是 "4"，"N" 是 "6".
如果你的支票是交的 I-140 的費，而背麵的收據號查出來的卻是 EAD 的狀態，那麽你可能是辨認號碼有誤，或是移民局蓋錯了章。隻好等正式的收據了，來解開這個迷。
有的時候，你都收到了移民局郵寄的書麵通知，而在線狀態還沒有更新或有誤。這並不影響你手中的 USCIS 文件的法律效果。請清楚，在線狀態（及你收到的 email）是供做參考用的，沒有法律效應，會可能有失誤發生；你收到的 paper 通知才算數。
就象簽署的文書中，手寫的部分比打印部分級別高一樣，你應該更信賴收到的移民局的通知書，而不僅僅隻是 online status, email or SMS etc.
另外，MSC 開頭的申請，有不是沒有上網，就是經常不及時更新的問題。你會收到這樣的信息。

這個 Processing Date 的意思是說，在 3/15/08 時，NSC 已經處理完了 June 08, 2007 收到的 EB 的 I-485.
有的申請的 Processing Timeframe 不象上麵一樣列的是日期，而是期間，如 2 Weeks、3 Months，你肯定明白這是什麽意思。
日期是指 Notice Date 為 6/8/07, 準確地說是 Receipt Date.
移民局的信上怎麽找不到這個 Receipt Date?
Receipt Date 在 Receipt Notice 上是 Notice Date, 爾後的文件上是指 Received Date.
對於一份提交到移民局的申請，牽扯有不同的日期，主要的有 Received Date, Notice Date, Approval Date. 詳見關於＂日期＂的討論。
移民局雖然是在 Received Date 接到了你的申請，但沒有進入係統，是一無用處的。當你的申請於 Notice Date 進入係統，就正式進入了排隊的 queue.
有的同學的申請在中心之間轉來轉去，那麽在新的中心的排隊，是 Transfer Date 還是 Received Date 算數？應該是原來的 RD 才公平合理。
但是，有同學在上述情況下聯係移民局，卻被告知要按新中心收到的日期重新排。不知是接線員的誤識，還是移民局的操作 practice.
在 6/15/08 的 NSC 的處理日期公布中，有如下陳述 "The processing times shown below are for applications that have just been completed"。這樣，應該是處理日期之前的申請都已經處理完畢。所有在處理日期之前提交的申請，都應該能夠在 online status 中查到申請結果。
在以前的處理日期公布中，沒有留意到移民局對處理日期有上述清楚的解釋。
根據以往的經驗，處理日期是估計的，並不意味著處理日期之前的申請都已經處理完畢，也不意味著之後的申請就一定不會處理。隻起個大概齊兒的參考作用，沒有任何的法律意義，也不做任何的保證。
正是因此，同學們過去也看到過處理日期的 retrogression. 那是因為 USCIS 希望處理完公布的處理日期之前的申請的願望，沒有達標。
過去同學們在自己的申請日期過了公布的處理日期之後，去聯絡移民局，得到的答案大都是：等到過了處理日期一個月之後，再聯絡移民局要求 service request.
過一個月，說的是原公布日期發布一個月之後，還是說等到新的公布日期是自己申請日期之後一個月，理解各異。
那時候移民局對處理日期沒有清晰的定義。現在應該沒有了歧義，隻要申請日期過了公布的處理日期，就可以要求處理。
雖然申請人可以聯係移民局請求處理 pending 的申請，移民局是否會聞風而動那卻是另外的故事。有同學擔心，移民局會不會因此在我的申請上做手腳。多慮了。
如果我們以後看不到處理日期的倒退，那麽處理日期的公布就有更大的可靠性，及參考性。
