I acknowledge that over the network, I can't see if there was indeed a smile, so
I could have erred,
but, please allow me to add a but here,
I'm still not sure,
there is an old saying, "if it looks like a fish, it smells like a fish...",
in my original thinking, I thought that one has to fit into one of these few possibilities to make a sound to try to deny the earth shattering changes all over China for the last 20 years, 1) totally ignorant, getting info only from western media, 2), silly enough to invoke problem incidents to deny overall progresses in total, (they both exist), 3) ill intentioned to laugh at the misery of the poorest of his/her own fellow country men, women, or even, children,
I had thought people here are mostly above and beyond case 1 and 2, maybe I was wrong,
--------------------
like FeiYuan, I attended one of such schools when young, I know quite some schools in the poor countryside are still iike that,
I was very angry about the wealth being created in china is not being distributed nearly as it should be, particularly for those in countryside, since my grandma, my uncles and aunts are still there,
I also know frustrations of many lower level leaders for many years, lack of resource, uneducated labor, no investment of either technology or commence, no infrastructure, and most of all, no funding, since some of my uncles and aunts are those leaders,
the good news I can share with everyone is, I also know first hand that, during the last 2 years or so, things have dramatically chaned for the countryside,
it's still on going, but battles are being won,
people, a lot of people at the lowest bottom, now have some hope,
--------------------
regard to anger to GCD, I understand, as said, I was from poor and I went through that June morning in Beijing,
but I also am a trained engineer, knowing that the facts trump theories or believes,
having being witnessing how US gov't function during the last 17 years, and how China has been changing, I can say that I give Chinese gov't a solid A, while Bush admin a D,
governence, at the end, is for people,
hence, performance of a gov't should simply be what and how much it brings to its people, under what conditions and over what difficulties,
go back and take a look around, all around the country from the best cities to the remote countryside, and places in between,
your own eyes would be the best educational tools,
