wiring money out of China

last week we had a first ever transaction of money out of China,

wiring was very fast, Sat out of China, Monday it's in US account,

there are few technical aspect of this... money going back against your (more) money going out US should not be taxable, and more importantly, money from parents are treated as gift, (check with your CPA)

not that we believe USD is getting stronger, but that many asset classes seem already cheaper than those in China, particularly stocks, where the fear premium is sky high, even for those not really correlated with short term health of US economy,

the real cost of money is opportunity, and of course, that's the real value of money too, (value as defined as marginal cost...)

(it just hit upon me this moment, that the real cost, and real reward, of life is also opportunity...)
