still my mantra to 1) buy gold 2) buy oil, buy natural gas 3) buy China, 4) buy defensive stocks, like PG etc, we still need all the daily life stuff even in recession, and they are actually probably the hidden growth players due to globalization. When I went back to China, both my parents and my wife's parents and my sister's and her sister's family use those Crest or Colgate etc brands, 5) hold some cash CD, either USD or currency in some resource rich countries USD has obvious risks but I tend to agree to FaCai that most sheeps will be too lazy or too afraid to try something else, they swim with in, sink with in, real estate in US, probably 10 years of no action from now on, or some correction in certain hot spots, till when the growth of population catches up real estate in China, the latest bubble that just popped. It will be a market with no or very few speculative buyers. Good for real needed population though.
