Red River Valley (紅河穀）是網友IwannaKnow在《美語世界》論壇貼的英語歌曲, 他還貼了中文版的《雅拉瑪》。他說這首歌曲是誌願到西班牙反抗法西斯的國際縱隊英美士兵，利用加拿大民歌《紅河穀》的曲調編的一首小調，這些國際主義戰士經曆了慘烈的雅拉瑪戰役，很多人壯烈犧牲。不久，部分士兵從西班牙輾轉來到中國，支援中國人民的抗戰，於是，從那時起，《雅拉瑪》就在華夏大地流傳開來，成為小學音樂課堂上的保留曲目，經久不衰。

讀了網友IwannaKnow的《雅拉瑪》，讓我想起了海明威的作品:For Whom the Bell Tolls .我喜歡海明威的簡潔明了的寫作風格。大學時讀過他寫的一篇小小說：A Clean, Well-Lighted Place，印象非常地深刻。 文章描寫一位孤獨的老人，在咖啡館喝酒。咖啡館要打佯了，老人也不舍離去。因為他不願意回家，他無法忍受那孤零零的家。--林貝卡 評論於：2007-11-17 07:21:01
