美國佬真是多事，不知有人遇到過沒，也算奇聞。

話說我們的房子，有一道柵欄與鄰居隔開。柵欄是我們買來時就在。估計時鄰居老頭活著時他安的。30年相安無事。

後來老頭死了。去年柵欄倒了一塊，很難看。老太太要我們修。我說，這柵欄不是我的。你要是覺得不好看就拆了吧。我可以出一半錢。然而她還是不願。

現在老太太把房子賣了。他們過戶時，要我簽一個文件，要我承認那柵欄侵占了她1.6ft 長的地，說這是她剛做的survey 測量出來的。

幸好有chatgpt, 它說你最好不要在你沒有知識的文件上簽字。那個survey不是你的文件。你簽了，就等於你承認她的survey。chatgpt 問要不要寫一個對我沒有潛在傷害，又能對鄰居友好的文件，我說你寫一個？於是它就寫了：

  1. We have a survey of our property, prepared for us at the time of our purchase (the AAA Survey). A copy of the AAA Survey has been provided to the adjoining owners attorney.
    All statements in this affidavit are based solely on the AAA Survey.
    We are not in a position to confirm, verify, or adopt the accuracy of any survey prepared for the adjoining property.

    This affidavit is made solely for the purpose of clarifying that we claim no ownership beyond the boundary line reflected in the AAA Survey.

  4. No other rights, obligations, waivers, or admissions shall be implied, inferred, or created by this affidavit.
    This affidavit shall not be used for any purpose unrelated to the issuance of title insurance for the adjoining property.

  5. Nothing in this affidavit shall alter, amend, waive, or otherwise affect any rights we may have with respect to the boundaries, structures, improvements, or conditions on our property, as reflected in the AAA Survey.
    Nothing herein shall impose upon us any obligation to move, remove, modify, or alter any structure or improvement located on our property.

We declare that the statements made herein are true to the best of our knowledge, information, and belief.

但是鄰居老太太說這個不滿足她的要求，她過不了戶。一定要我簽那個她準備的文件，告訴我們要公證還要給她一份我們的身份證拷貝。

她和她的律師是不是失心瘋了？
