Thank you for your questions. I used some of my previous bosses as reference, not everyone of them. I will not easily use any reference from my present employer to find the next job unless I am sure everything can be kept confidential about my searching. If this is your first job, you can still use your professor as reference or the people who know you like friends. If your boss has a bias against you, why you have to use him. If he finds out that you are looking for job, that situation will be even worse. It is understandable for a new employer that you do not use your current supervisor as a reference. Alternatively, you may find your co-worker instead. If your boss has a bias against you, I am not sure you can do too much. If your boss likes you, a small gift can add on to the relationship, otherwise it could be even worse. My suggestion is to find your co-worker or other department supervisor who knows your credentials if you can trust him.

How did you get GOOD reference from your boss supposing you just maintain a normal relationship with him (because he had bias to you, or treated you unfairly, and so on) even if you are an excellent performer? Should we favor such a boss by sending him/her a gift or doing anything else? Sometimes I thought it might cause additional biases and go to opposite direction. I am asking you such a question since I don't know how to get a good reference which is important to me from such a boss. Thank you for your suggestions. Your experience is very helpful to us. Thanks again.

唉,在這條路上從大學開始算是走了一輩子了。不能說我非常enjoy,但是絕不討厭。我經常說我們無論學哪一行,幹哪一行,總要Materialize what we can do our best. We have to materialize what we have learned and what we can do our best with ease.謝謝您的瀏覽。
