If your son wants to go to Jane Street, the Turing program is a good choice. Among the 2025 graduates of the Turing program, 20% go to Jane Street, and 50% were said to go to Wall Street as quantitative traders (QT) or quantitative developers (QD). Some students chose to pursue a PhD at Princeton or MIT instead of accepting a QT position at Jane Street.
The training in the Turing program is highly rigorous and competitive, with professors assigning very challenging projects. Almost all students in the program are exceptionally talented, and admissions are primarily merit-based, with little consideration for DEI or affirmative action (AA). Strong performance in math competitions significantly increases a student''''s chances of getting into Jane Street.
