Find the smallest things she did right to praise her. Show that you value her as a person.
Her bad tone and laziness might indicate that she doesn't value herself that much. Not good for a girl. She needs to be told to love, value, and care for herself. She is worthy of that effort. She does not realize that there's a price to pay for not making that effort.
That price will be paid sooner or later.
