He applied at this company before the class started. The interview was after the class started. I am pretty sure he told the interviewer that he was taking the class, that definitely helped securing the job offer.

The class training is required for the job, so by completing the class prior to the start of the job he definitely has an advantage.

We consider this a successful effort that we carefully planned and executed each step.
