2. My friend's kid went to a college lab to shadow a professor for 1 semester, at the mean time, applied the following year, Ed1 defer, then Ed2 got in a T20 school.
3. Local CC is also viable choice, another kid got a transfer-in admission from a top school, so she decided to stay in local CC to finish some classes and travel.
