We had 3k freshman enrolled in biology or some related major who self identified as premed my freshman year.
When it came to the upper division classes like Mol bio or biochem there was probably like 100-200 students I recognized because we were sort of a pack of students who had not been weeded.
When it came to applications my year we had ~300 students apply. (Agreeing with the above comments. Getting to the point where your applications is taken relatively seriously is a HUGE accomplishment in and of itself.)
Of that I can say about ~70 got in. (This is those I know, or can guesstimate. It might be higher, around 120-140 but idk honestly.)

所以說UCLA 大學入學有5K premed學生應該靠譜的,最後有1K多申請醫學院
