大學生租房的保險怎麽辦理？幾個人合租是一份保險還是每個人買一份？

下學期就要到學校外麵租房了，3個人一起看上了一套Apartment，在網上簽約，每個人簽一份，每個人的家長也要簽一份。

租約上要求有Resident要有保險，這裏用的是單數，是指每個人單獨買嗎？

Resident is required to furnish Lessor (“Landlord”) with evidence of Minimum Required Insurance prior to occupancy of leased premises, for the duration of the Lease and at the time of each Lease renewal.  

一個Apartment，多個責任人。沒有合租過房，不知道怎麽回事。請教一下有經驗的家長。

剛才打電話去我的保險公司Costco（Connect By xxxxx），說現在不在加州開新的Policy了。大家有什麽保險公司推薦？
