UVA is a private school compard to UCLA. UVA is a liberal arts school compared to UCLA. UVA is much richer than UCLA. Just look at the endowments of the two schools, so there are rarely bigger than 300-student classes in UVA, while 800-student+ in CAL/UCLA? Pay attention to how many New England prep schools send graduates to UVA every year...
