great locaton, high admission chance. UCSD has great, strong Physics program too, great location. Combination of those two schools will garantee finishing application process at EA/UC phase. However, Chinese parents don't like those schools due to less prestiges. And parents here mostly only target prestiges. You may consider those as target or even safety.
