HPY 比拚 MS, Chicago

標題是click bait！嗬嗬。全都是大牛校。在我心中並列第一！

不過想到前麵提到 ~~Princeton 的"O" 娃比HM 少。似乎說明P是“less prestigious”, 但是長年排名還不錯，可能有是有別的優點吧~~。想談談我的想法。

我認為HPY 之所以是常年Big Three, 靠的是他們的三大法寶：Harvard 的Kennedy, Princeton 的 Woody Woo, Yale 的Law。這三個學院讓HYP 嵌入了國家機器和國家曆史，保證了山頂地位。前幾天正好在讀Princeton的Eating Club。說Ivy （blue blood 學生的Eating Club）“owns the country”, but Tower (Woody Woo學生聚集的EatingClub) “runs the country”. Princeton 可能數理不錯，但不是P在山頂長期停留的關鍵。

Chicago 是個反麵例子，一度可以和HYP 爭老大，但最後下行，原因很多，但可能和他非常專注academia和數理，但是缺乏對國家機器有影響的學院有關，無法長期地維持山頂地位。

Stanford 和MIT， 尤其是MIT是近幾十年順科技風快速上升的. 老波士頓人還記得MIT 和RPI, WPI 齊名的時代. 紫檀有人對MIT 試圖校院多元化，甚至錄小中女都很有意見。我個人認為MIT 其實是為自己能長期發展做的必須工作。而且科技風對學校（MIT）的發展到底是長期還是短期的加持，也拭目以待。
