Biomedical engineering 是個好的專業方向嗎？

孩子要學biomedical engineering 方向，醫療器械如人造肢體等，我是學機械工程的，沒法給孩子很好的建議。網上搜索了一下，基本是留學中介的介紹，說得很高端。壇子裏有這方麵的明白人嗎？能不能就大學申請的難易，將來的發展，以及具體作什麽樣的工作適合小中男。謝謝先！
