If not interested in research, and if not

short of money, md/phd is not a good choice. Of course this is the way to get to higher position in a medical school; however, money wise, md/phd usually does not earn more, actually in many cases earns less than a MD. It is really one's choice. I truly admire some md/phd who give up earning more money and do research.
