Read this article, a little long but interesting.

The author did mention the possibility of the child being linked to the country where the 

language is spoken, including espionage.

That's why I'd never teach my children a foreign language like Chinese,

in case my children be recruited by either side as a spy, for business or intelligence agency.

In general, I don't want to see my children to have any connection with China or Chinese 

government, Chinese businesses, etc...
