Thanks Phei, the reason I'm asking is because we were told by the schools we visited last week that we should make good use of the summer holiday to give my son a smooth and adequate start in Sept, after all he is 2 years behind, hasn't had any formal education so far,they only start formal education when children turn 6 here in Germany.We have been teaching him a bit at home in the last few months, mainly maths and English( simple spelling and reading), but not sure up to what level should we be teaching him.
