I did not get any receipt from China Embassy when I personally donated on behalf of my family by cheque. However, when I persuaded CEO to donate a fat cheque in the name of our company, we did get one. That is because I enclosed a letter on the company letterhead and stipulated that an official receipt would be highly appreciated due to audit trail required for any financial transactions. On personal level, I had to do this to have myself covered as being the FC of the company who initialed the transaction.
