No extra self-training.
I'd imagine that you'll improve a lot quicker if you can practice at your own time. In which case, you'll need someone who's got at least 3 years' driving experience to accompany you ALL the time.
I've wanted to buy a car to practice, but unfortunately we do not have enough space at home to accommodate another car. I had no choice but to take the slow way.
I always have my instructor with me, 1.5 hours per week.
