It is an adaptation of the novel Znachor by Tadeusz Do??ga-Mostowicz (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tadeusz_Do%C5%82%C4%99ga-Mostowicz) with Leszek Lichota (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leszek_Lichota)
 in the main character role. This is the third film adaptation of Do??ga-Mostowicz's novel; the previous ones were created in 1937 and 1981.
