Mount Blue Sky (formerly Mount Evans) in Colorado has the highest paved road in North America, reaching an elevation of 14,140 feet. Pikes Peak's summit is at 14,115 feet.

Besides the official new name, Mount Blue Sky, other names considered for Mount Evans were Mount Rosalie, Mount Soule, Mount Sisty, and Mount Cheyenne-Arapaho.
