Sharing our 2021 4-day’s itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Venice, drive to St. Maddalena. Hike the Adolf Munkel trail
Day 2: e-biking Alpe di Siusi. E-bike can be rented at Compatsch. Make sure you arrive early in the morning before area become ZTL, and traffic is limited to residences and hotel guests with reservation only. Unlike other European countries that rent e-bikes with minimum age requirements (e.g., 16 for Switzerland). Italians are more relaxed, we were able to rent one for our 10 years old, and baby seat for our 2 years old.
Day 3: gondola day. Recommend to buy the 1 day pass to get your money worth, we were able to do 3. First is to Seceda from Ortisei. Then famous “coffin”lift at Forcella Sassolungo. One of the most unique lift ride we have ever done, highly recommended. The 3rd one was at Passo pordoi. From there, you have the option to hike to the peak Piz Boe. If hiking is not high on your list and the weather is cooperating with good visibility, you can also choose to go up to Marmolada, the highest peak in Dolomites.
Day4: Cinque Torris to see rock climbers, with optional short stroll to Rifugio Averau and Rifugio Nuvolau. Late flight back to Venice
