為什麽意大利裏維埃拉 翻譯成 利古裏亞? 哪裏來的發音 "古"? 請賜教

According to this Youtube tutorial,  V in Italian is the same as V in English.

Shouldn't Riviera translates to 裏維埃拉, by the pronunciation?  為什麽利古裏亞?  古代的名字?
