You r absolutely correct. We work for a better life but often forget enjoying the current; and sometimes people worry too much about their savings (health problems, kids, all sorts of stuff) so they keep working until they have enough money but then they are too old to enjoy their life.
I am so happy for your family, especially for your husband as he can now stay traveling.

I always know l will be able to retire before 60, and now I have the means. I will work until the end of the year, as a commitment to my family and to my employer then I will happily retire and hopefully move to Europe somewhere along Mediterranean soon.
