US train and even some small airlines were subsidized

Amtrak loses money except northeast corridor so it was rescued by US government many times . Colgan airlines which flew to a few vacation Hotspots was susiduzed by US government. ABC news once lambasted US subsidizing rich people but the practice still goes on (I was not rich but also got subsidized). In quite a few years, all major US airlines lost money year over year when I first came to US. Only recently they turned thing around by charging extra fees on almost everything.
