Do you desert the canoe? In our kayak class, we were taught how to Eskimo roll it, but I don't think it is possible for a large canoe; and for the safety purpose, when capsized, we are told to always stay with the kayak. 

Must need a lot of strength for the person at the stern to control the canoe. I could tell in the viedo when the waves are parallal to the hull, how easy it is to flip the boat.

What a fun!
