Are you talking about SF round trip?  If so, it wouldn't go too much north.  Suggest to get on at Seattle, at least.  You want to go to the north if possible for better glacier viewing.  The best would be one way from Vancouver to Whittier.  The best glaciers are located in Prince William Sound.
