鳥瞰華盛頓特區的一些地標建築

 

華盛頓市區或哥倫比亞特區在建立之初就有一個法律規定: 任何建築物不得高於華盛頓紀念碑。兩百多年過去了，這個法律一直得到遵守。在華盛頓特區，看不到一個建築高於華盛頓紀念碑。

 

遊人到華盛頓觀光，看各種建築和華盛頓的地標景點，都是從平麵或是從下往上仰視。要想從上往下看或鳥瞰華盛頓特區，隻有到一百多米高的華盛頓紀念碑的嘹望台。當然還有另外一個辦法，就是坐飛機從空中鳥瞰華盛頓特區。不過這樣的成本太高了。

讓我們從華盛頓紀念碑的嘹望台看看四周都有那些建築和景點，有遺漏的地方請讀者補充。

Andrew W Mellon Auditorium, Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 中間那個灰色教堂式建築原是Old Post Office. 現在給 Donald Trump買下來改成旅店了。現在他又要竟選下屆總統，他有戲嗎？

你們有多少人曾經在天上看到自己居住的地方。 說實在的這種機會還真不多。中間的公寓樓就是我在 McLean, Virginia居住的地方。

再來看幾張在空中鳥瞰華盛頓特區的照片。幾年前去外地開會，回來時飛機在裏根機場降落。這些是飛機降落前幾分鍾看到的景色。
