Some colleges you can go in freely, some you can't.

In Oxford, visit the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin, climb up the bell tower to have a great view of the University; Botanical Garden is beautiful, too.
If you have time, take a ride of the punt in Oxford or Cambridge.
In Cambridge, visit the Bridge-of-Sign, maybe recite "Farewell to Cambridge"?
