Williamstown attraction in March?

Hi, All:

I will go to Williams College located at Williamstown. I found Green Mountain Nation Forest is located there. is it worthy to stay two days to explore the area in March? if hiking is possible, which trail do you recommand and which town i should stay in that area? thanks
