Reckless driving

我們住北卡在路過Virginia時被警察攔下說超速，在70mph開83mph.但因為超過80，在Virginia算recklessdriving。警察沒有寫罰款數額。當時我們前麵有車，我們跟著，當我們質疑前麵車時，他說前麵沒有超速。另外我們告訴他我們GPS顯示是78。問他是否能提供證據，他說Virginia不要求警察提供證據。我老公記錄很好，從沒有超過速，請問我們是否必須出庭？要請律師嗎？有沒有可能隻被罰款而不被判作reckless driving？出庭時間時7月3日早9點。
