Repair

 

A flying rock chisels his desire,

a crystal snowflake on my car’s window.

Isn’t it too beautiful to repair,

a desire that’s cracked and hollow?

But I am told a wound has to be healed

by flowing resin curing as hard as steel. 

After repair I see only one tiny white speckle,

and feel silky on the window’s outer surface. 

Then I sit in my car relieved and settled,

inspect repair on its inside surface.

To my despair,

an imperfect crystal snowflake greets my stare.
