It is particularly hard for the 1st generation Chinese immigrants.
One thing I noticed is that one has to be willing to embrace the change and the difference in order to thrive overseas. If he/she still thinks there is free lunch in this world and he/she can be 人上人 and treat others with no respect, he/she will have a hard time to fit in.
